31 year old Branston has made 23 appearances for Albion since signing from Kettering in the summer.
His disciplinary record has suffered somewhat since his arrival at the League Two club - notching six yellow and two red cards this term.
Such a record has seen him fall down the pecking order at Burton, prompting a move to Plainmoor where he will now fight to maintain a regular starting berth.
