Nottingham Forest have loaned the services of Republic of Ireland Under-21 goalkeeper Shane Redmond on a Six months loan deal.
Dubliner Redmond is viewed as a straight replacement for Saul Deeney who recently left the club. Although he has never played first team football for the red he did have a period on loan last season at Eastwood Town making more than 30 appearances for them in their run to the Northern Premier Division Title. Redmond was also part of the team that beat Wycombe Wanderers in last seasons FA Cup making some fine saves on the day.
The loan is seen as part of Forests policy of exposing their young players to first team football as much as possible so hopes are high he will feature this season.
