Burton ended a three-game losing streak in emphatic style to register their first ever win over Bradford with a 3-0 triumph. Albion goalkeeper Adam Legzdins was tested by Omar Daley and Dave Sayers before home striker Shaun Harrad hit a post from six yards. Daley should then have put the visitors in front in the 25th minute but fired over a gaping goal from eight yards. Burton did go ahead six minutes later when Harrad blasted home his eighth goal of the season from the penalty spot after winger Lewis Young had been floored by City goalkeeper Jon McLaughlin. The hosts almost doubled their lead in the 44th minute but on-loan Aston Villa striker James Collins saw his header stay out after hitting the inside of a post. Yet Collins had to wait only until the 54th minute for his first Burton goal when he met Adam Bolder's cross with a glancing header into the far corner. Russell Penn sealed victory when he swept home a cross from fellow substitute Jimmy Phillips two minutes from time.
