Burton Albion have signed Crewe Alexandra forward Calvin Zola on a loan deal until the end of the season. The 26-year-old Congolese forward was top scorer for the Alex last season but has fallen out of favour this term and has not played since early October.
Zola, who is out of contract in the summer, told BBC Radio Derby: "It has been a frustrating season but you go through rough times in your career.
"But I am coming out of it and I am looking forward to playing."
Zola,
whose loan arrival is likely to speed up Shaun Harrad's exit from the Pirelli Stadium,
added: "What happened in the past will be forgotten. I am dying to play games.
"I had a few clubs after me but I have made the right choice. What stands out for me is that the club is going places.
"They have a great ground for the league and I have the utmost respect for the manager [Paul Peschisolido]. As a player, having a manager who was a striker and knows the position can only help me.
"It is a family club, well organised with ambition and we share the same vision for the future."
Zola joined Crewe from Tranmere Rovers in June 2008.
