Cod Army net points at the Pirelli
Fleetwood scored all the goals in the game as they ran out 4-2 winners in a thrilling encounter at promotion rivals Burton.
The kick-off was delayed for an hour due to heavy rain but the wait proved worthwhile for the Cod Army as Jon Parkin's 78th minute goal and an injury-time strike by substitute Junior Brown clinched victory.
The game was on a knife edge as David Ball and Nathan Pond twice put the visitors ahead - only for Burton to be rescued by own goals from Mark Roberts and Alex Marrow.
Fleetwood took the lead after 19 minutes when Stewart Murdoch's pass gave Ball the time and room to crash in an angled volley from 15 yards.
Burton were back on level terms in the 50th minute when a Scott Davies punch-out thudded into net off team-mate Roberts.
But the visitors needed only a minute to regain the lead as Pond rose to firmly head home Steve Schumacher's corner kick - only for Marrow to slice a Jimmy Phillips cross into his own net in the 61st minute.
Fleetwood went ahead for the third time when Conor McLaughlin squeezed the ball across the area for Parkin to score from close range and victory was sealed by Brown's tap in.
