Defender Roped In ???

Brewers boss Paul Peschisolido has revealed 6ft 3ins Luton Town defender Ian Roper is one of his transfer targets as he looks to fill the gap made by Jake Buxton's summer move to Derby County

The experienced 32 year old played at Luton Town last year after arriving on a free transfer from Walsall where he played more than 300 games

The Canadian said: "Ian is the type of defender we are looking for, very strong in the air".
"I have spoken to him, but it is early days yet and there is another candidate we have in mind."

Roper is believed to be seeking a move back into the football league after the Hatters relegation to the Blue Square Premier
