Billy makes Kee point for Brewers
Lowly York battled to a 1-1 draw at promotion-chasing Burton to make it six draws in their last eight games.
Shane Cansdell-Sherriff's own goal gave the Minstermen the lead but Billy Kee popped up with an equaliser for Albion.
Home midfielder Robbie Weir had a chance to give his side a 14th-minute lead after charging onto Kee's through ball but could only shoot straight at goalkeeper Aaron McCarey.
Rene Howe should have put Burton in front shortly before half-time but the big striker failed to get a touch to Alex MacDonald's cross from a yard out.
York's Elliott Whitehouse headed the first chance of the second half too high before Howe threatened again for the hosts on the hour mark, holding off two defenders before shooting narrowly wide.
The visitors went ahead in the 64th minute when substitute Michael Coulson's cross skidded in off the head of Cansdell-Sherriff.
But Burton were level eight minutes later when Kee latched onto Damien McCrory's ball into the box and rifled a low shot inside a post from 10 yards.
